Who were the original audience for this object?

Interior design first recorded in the Stone Age (6000-2000 BC) where it was mostly focussed on practicalities, while paintings and decorative drawings of plants animals and humans could be found. Moving forward, royal families would be found to have extravagant buildings decorated with murals to depict their history and beliefs. Painted pottery could be found as times went on, and when civilisation improved, regular people could decorate their their homes however they liked. To conclude, interior was used for homes before any common buildings or spaces

Ancient Egyptians and Sumerians grew ornamental and fruiting plants in decorative containers. Ancient Greeks and the Romans cultivated laurel trees in earthenware vessels. In ancient China, potted plants were shown at garden exhibitions over 2,500 years ago. In the middle ages, ornamental gardening was restricted to monasteries.
In kitchen gardens of the medieval era, vegetable plants such as fennel, cabbage, onion, garlic, leeks, radishes and parsnips, peas, lentils and beans were grown if there was space for them. Gillyflowers were also displayed in containers. - Wikipedia

Where and how would your object originally be displayed?Plant breeding developed in the late 17th and 18th centuries, were widely cultivated with the researchers and botanists brought over 5,000 species to Europe from their ship expeditions from South America, Africa, Asia and Australia. Presented in the botanical gardens and in private court collections. At beginning of the bourgeois age at the end of the 18th century, flower tables became part of the salons. Furthermore, nurseries were flourishing in the 18th century, which stocked thousands of plants, including citrus, jasmines, mignonette, bays, myrtles, agaves and aloes.
Where and how is your object stored?Depending on the type of plant, houseplants are stored indoors, with sunlight and water (varies from plant to plant)

Outline of my new intended audience

I would like my houseplant to be for interiors, but rather than a realistic representation of the interior such as IKEA advertisements, more of an artistic, abstract view. I would like to advertise it to feel like an imaginary creative and idealistic space, aesthetically focussing almost solely on the mood. I usually work with very flat imagery, but want to begin to add shadows in order to create a more believable space.
